Dosing systems for tunnels

General

Dosing and control systems are a core competence of our dosing technology department. A competence team consisting of computer experts, electricians and mechatronics engineers develops your individual control systems, operating data acquisition systems and visualization of the operational processes. They also program, build and preinstall control cabinets, dosing racks and pump blocks for powder, mother liquor or liquid dosing systems. New ideas of our computer experts constantly flow into the advancement of our technical systems. Benefit from the continuous improvement of our in-house designed control systems. Updates ensure that your dosing technology, operating data logging systems and control systems are always up to date. From the conception and detailed planning to the adaptation or integration of existing equipment into your new dosing concept, our specialists work for your success.

Automatic dosing systems ensure the compliance with predefined process parameters, avoid costly overdosing and ensure the correct conduct of the procedure for every programme. The risk of human errors can be minimized, each laundry load is individually controlled and monitored. By using an appropriate evaluation software, the entire washing process can be documented and displayed on the screen. Irrespective of whether individual machine, selected machines of a small series, washing lines or all automated washing machines in the operation are to be equipped with dosing technology – please feel free to contact us, our experts will find the optimal solution for your needs!

Customer wishes, e.g. extension of the dosing system by an operating data logging system and visualization of the operational processes, mean additional expenses, but also help to structure the operation, offer the possibility of online control and allow the management to supervise consumption data and production or to carry out calculations in a short period of time. An operating data logging system gives the operation more transparency and support in the case of failures or in troubleshooting. The dosing systems, control systems, operating data logging systems and visualization of the entire laundry process have been adapted to one another due to the modular design and can be extended if required. This allows the technical systems to be adjusted quickly to current needs and to grow with the operation.

CBW-Dos for tunnels

The CBW-Dos dosing system for washing tunnels can provide the dosing for one or several washing tunnels. Depending on the selected operating mode, up to 12 liquid products can be dosed.

The control is capable of managing several operating modes (direct, timed or via oval wheel meter) for the pumps.

  • Direct operating mode: The upcoming dosing requests are processed directly.
  • Timed operating mode: The dosing programme is provided in the control so that only the dosing pulse is required from the washing line.
  • Oval wheel meter operating mode: During the calibration to the individual product, the oval wheel meter determines a number of pulses that depends on the dosing quantity. If the washing line requests a dosing, dosing is provided until the required dosing quantity, determined through the number of captured pulses, has been supplied.

Depending on the existing washing tunnel in the operation, the dosing programmes can also be programmed and specified via the control module. An external 17 inch screen visualizes all dosing operations and processes in the washing line. Up to 99 dosing programmes can be programmed. The individual laundry loads in the chambers can be displayed visually. The dosing quantity data can be entered either in ml/kg dry weight or in ml/cycle. Since the operational state of the valves and pumps can be displayed visually, the screen always indicates which dosing is currently provided by which pump. The dosing quantity is displayed online in a text box next to the pump.

Depending on the configuration of the dosing system, the pump output is permanently monitored. Upon deviations from the target, an error message is issued if a specified limit is exceeded. The pump configuration can be entered freely and the pump parameters can be adjusted depending on laundry type and washing line requirements. The system can optionally be extended by an operating data acquisition system so that the washing programme, the customer ID and the load weight can be taken over from the washing line.

For each batch of washed laundry, the programme, customer ID, weight, pH values, temperature and dosing quantities are stored. This data can be exported as a data file to be evaluated with spreadsheet software. The operating data is stored in the control on a Flash card and can be accessed whenever required. The visualization of the system can be installed on an external network computer so that the operating manager can monitor online all the batches currently in the washing line.

If the temperatures at the beginning and at the end of the disinfection zone are to be measured and documented, the signals can be captured with external temperature sensors to provide evidence of compliance with the disinfection for each laundry load. Error messages are listed in chronological order with specification of the occurred error, and it is also documented when the error has been corrected.

All components in contact with liquids are made of special chemical-resistant plastics. The dosing system is installed on a console and protected against dust by clear screens that also serve as splash guards.
