  • Safe application due to highly even effects in proofing and drying.
  • Suited for immersion bath, tub or spraying processes.
  • No formation of inertgas in sterilisation processes.

Certificate

Suited for treatment of chemical protective clothing according to DIN 32763, for post-treatment of fire-protective clothing according to EN 469, Item 7.5, and for barrier sheets used in hospitals.

Application

1. Proofing in a bath process
(e.g. also as final rinsing bath in washing extractors)
Dip level: 1:4
Application concentration: 15 - 25 g of HYDROB FC per litre (2-3.3oz/gal) of liquid
pH value: 4.5 - 5.5 (adjustable with formic acid or acetic acid)
Temperature: 30 - 40 °C (86-104 °F)
Contact: 5 - 7 minutes
Extraction: 1 minute (interval spinning for membrane textiles)

For post-treatment of already proofed textiles, an application concentration of
5-10 g of HYDROB FC per litre (0.66-1.3 oz/gal) of water is sufficient (depending on requirements).

2. Dip process
This process is recommended only for treating individual textiles.
Application concentration: 25 - 35 g of HYDROB FC per litre (3.3-4.6 oz/gal) of water
pH value: 4.5 - 5.5 (adjustable with formic acid or acetic acid)
Temperature: 20 - 40 °C (68-104 °F)
Application time: 5 - 7 minutes

In case the liquor should be used once more, add 25 ml HYDROB FC / kg (0.38ozfl/lbs) textile to the next load. Drain the tub-liquor latest after 1 day.

3. Spray process
After spinning, spray 30-40 ml of HYDROB FC per kg (0.46-0.61 ozfl/lbs) of textiles onto the dump textiles, roll the cage for 3-5 minutes, then dry.

4. Drying
For achieving the proofing effect, HYDROB FC requires heat and time.
Minimum drying temperature: 60 °C (140 °F)
Effect enhancement up to: 120 °C (248 °F)
If the textiles are heated to 120 °C (248 °F) for approximately 15 minutes or to 180 °C (356 °F) for 3 minutes, the effects achieved are wash resistant.

Storage and dispatch

Do not expose HYDROB FC to temperatures below +5 °C (41 °F) or above +30 °C (86° F) for extended periods of time. After exposure to frost, heat product to 20 °C (68 °F) and mix well before use.

When enclosed in packaging, HYDROB FC has a shelf life of at least 24 months.

After each use, close packaging tightly.
