Temporary Energy Cost Surcharge at Kreussler Textile Care
Kreussler Textile Care is responding to the ongoing disruptions in global supply chains as well as sharply increased energy, transport, and raw material costs by introducing a temporary 15% energy cost surcharge effective 30 March 2026.
The current extremely volatile geopolitical situation in the Middle East has, in recent weeks, led to rapidly rising energy prices, insecure transport routes, and significant distortions in raw material markets. Since December 2025, crude oil prices have increased by around 60 %, while natural gas prices have surged by nearly 80 %. These developments have resulted in substantially higher costs for fuel, energy, logistics, and a wide range of chemical raw materials. Many suppliers have already implemented high double‑digit price increases.
“We have made every effort to keep the impact of this exceptional situation as low as possible for our customers. However, the most recent cost developments are so severe that we are no longer able to absorb them entirely ourselves,” explains Christoph Richter, Managing Director at Kreussler Textile Care.
Therefore, Kreussler will introduce a temporary 15 % energy cost surcharge on its entire product range effective 30 March 2026.
This surcharge is explicitly temporary and will be continuously reviewed. As soon as market conditions stabilise and procurement and energy costs return to normal levels, Kreussler will immediately withdraw the surcharge.
With this measure, the company ensures that production, supply capability, and the consistently high quality of its products remain guaranteed even under the current extremely challenging and highly volatile market conditions.
